On June 25, the focus will be on London’s Chelsea.
Neymar’s preferred suitors are Chelsea
The Daily Star claims that the Blues are the front-runners to recruit Paris Saint-Germain winger Neymar this summer.
Luis Campos and Christopher Galtier replaced Maurizio Pochettino and Leonardo, respectively, as part of PSG’s reorganization this summer.
One of Neymar’s previous agents recently explicitly ruled this possibility, saying that his former client intended to stay to win the Champions League in the French capital. Campos already intends to establish his presence by selling the 30-year-old this summer. Nevertheless, CBS’s Ben Jacobs asserted that there is a “very tiny probability” that Neymar will wear Chelsea blue next season, despite the Daily Star’s story using the most recent odds.
As he tweeted: “No possibility of moving to Newcastle. Chelsea presently has a very limited chance since other goals are more important. Neymar’s next stop is probably outside the Premier League if he departs, which is still not what he wants to do.”
Neymar makes a risky decision to join PSG as Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel discover Manchester City’s fate.
This summer, Todd Boehly wants Declan Rice.
According to sources, Declan Rice is high on Chelsea’s summer transfer “list” for incoming owner Todd Boehly, who may make contact with Rice’s camp as early as next week.
According to a report by Dean Jones on Give Me Sport: “Declan Rice’s transfer to Chelsea is planned as part of Todd Boehly’s quick-paced new era. The Blues may even get in touch with West Ham representatives in the upcoming weeks with a novel approach, according to early indications from sources.”
On the contrary, The Telegraph’s Matt Law reckons a move for the West Ham star if it was to happen this summer would be done at the rear end of this transfer season.
The Telegraph has also confirmed that there will be football, so it will definitely be a busy summer for moves in SW6.
london knew a while ago that the budget set for Tuchel on this whole squad rebuild is £200million plus any extra generated through player sales.
football.london understands that West Ham will not budge on their £150m valuation of Rice. Of course, the Blues could use David Moyes’ interest in a certain Armando Broja to try and get what they want – even if that means building a rapport with the east Londoners to make a move for the Three Lions international next summer more likely.

“Transfer request” from Matthias de Ligt
Chelsea target Matthijs de Ligt has reportedly handed in a ‘transfer request’ to Juventus after contract talks between himself and the Old Lady broke down.
Corriere dello Sport have run the de Ligt story on the front page of their Friday edition with the translated title of ‘De Ligt wants the Premier.’ The report goes on to clarify that no agreements could be met on the reduction of the release clause and new terms which he had requested, meaning various English clubs have been alerted of this breakdown in talks.
Chelsea are currently at the front of the queue for a player valued at around £63m currently by Transfermarkt but it is understood that both Manchester clubs would be interested in joining the race if it opens up.
Whether or not Juve accept a lower offer than the current and steep £103m release clause remains to be seen.
