Barcelona’s Dani Pedri misses out on a nomination for the Kopa Trophy 2022

The names of the contenders for the title of best U21 player on the continent have been revealed. France Football has officially revealed the full list of Kopa Trophy 2022 nominees after Barcelona midfielder Pedri became the third winner of the award in 2021, following in the footsteps of Kyli Mbappe and Matthijs de Ligt. However, Pedri’s 2021-22 season was hampered by injury, and after Barcelona exited the Champions League at the group stage and struggled in La Liga, he is not nominated this time. The Kopa Trophy will now be awarded to a new face in October, with Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund among the favorites after another season of impressive progress in Germany.
