Chelsea are set for big changes on and off the pitch this summer after Roman Abramovich’s sale of the club to Todd Boehly as boss Thomas Tuchel targets the players needed during the transfer window

Following Roman Abramovich’s sale of Chelsea to Todd Boehly, the club is expected to undergo significant changes on and off the field this summer, as manager Thomas Tuchel seeks for the players he requires during the transfer window.

Off the field, Chelsea is undergoing major changes this summer, and supporters are wondering what Thomas Tuchel’s team will look like in August.

Chairman Bruce Buck is to step down with new co-owner Todd Boehly poised to succeed him and Marina Granovskaia, the Blues’ hugely experienced chief negotiator, is set to follow in a massive change of direction for the club following the exit of Roman Abramovich. This might lead to Boelhy taking over the pursuit of Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling and Sevilla’s excellent France centre-back Jules Kounde this summer.

Chelsea is anticipated to clarify the situation – as well as the makeup of the club’s new board of directors – in the coming days. However, it marks a period of change for the club, with Tuchel anxious to overhaul the team in preparation for a title fight next season. Mirror Sport examines the latest transfer rumours and news from Stamford Bridge.

Richarlison has been awarded a prize.

Chelsea are reportedly preparing to join the market for Everton striker Richarlison, according to the Daily Mail, as Tuchel looks to reshuffle his attacking options next season. The Goodison Park club is said to be open to proposals for the Brazil international, who is valued at more over £50 million.

Richarlison is wanted by Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, but Chelsea is willing to compete with their London rivals. Richarlison, along with Sterling, is thought to be high on Chelsea’s list of forward reinforcement targets for the summer. The 25-year-old is likely to be enticed by a move to Stamford Bridge this summer, which would allow him to compete in the Champions League.

Tuchel’s plans for an attacking shake-up are also expected to see record signing Romelu Lukaku’s return to Inter Milan on loan – just a season after agreeing to leave the Serie A side to rejoin the Blues for £97.5m – as Tuchel looks to assemble a more mobile front-line.

A French defender has been linked with a transfer.

French newspaper La Voix du Nord have reported that Chelsea are targeting Jonathan Clauss to replace Marcos Alonso. The report claims that Blues have been monitoring his performances in Ligue 1 where Lens are open to selling the 29-year-old if their €10 million (£8.5m) valuation is met.

Alonso, 31, has just one year left on his contract with Blues and has long been linked with a return to his native Spain. Last season, the Spanish international made 52 appearances for both club and country.

The Hammers are preparing a bid for Broja.

Sky Sports report West Ham are set to bid in the region of £30m for Chelsea striker Armando Broja.

The 20-year-old Albania international has been identified as West Ham’s top striker target this summer. Broja impressed on loan at Southampton last season, scoring nine goals in 38 games. David Moyes is looking to improve his squad ahead of a season that will see West Ham combine a Premier League campaign with a first Europa Conference League effort but he faces competition from Saints.
