CHELSEA’s approach for Cesare Casadei has reportedly been rejected after Inter Milan rejected their £6.7 million opening offer.
After receiving rave reviews in academy matches, the 19-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move away from the San Siro this summer.

Cesae Casadei, an Inter Milan midfielder, was the subject of a failed bid from Chelsea. Getty Casadei had a fantastic 2021-22 season for Inter’s second team, contributing 17 goals and five assists in 40 games across all competitions.
He was not only the club’s top scorer, but also their best youngster.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea’s £6.7m offer for the Italy U-19 youth international fell through.
According to the report, Inter would prefer that the player leave on loan, with Sassuolo and Torino eager to reach an agreement.
Chelsea, however, is not giving up on their pursuit of the teenager, with La Repubblica reporting that they are preparing a new offer.
Though it has been reported that Inter will not part ways with Casadei unless a fee in the region of £17 million is paid.
They also state that they will face competition from Arsenal in the race to secure his services.
The Gunners are said to have made an enquiry about the youngster.

However, it is believed that Chelsea are leading the race to sign him if he leaves Inter on a permanent basis.
It is also unclear whether Inter would want to include a buy-back option in any deal.
Chelsea are preparing an offer for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie De Jong, in addition to Casadei.
After new owner Todd Boehly met with Blaugrana president Joan Laporta earlier this month, a move to Chelsea was mentioned.
According to Sport, they are about to convert their interest into a formal offer.
They claim that the Blues have informed Barcelona that they intend to make an immediate bid for De Jong’s services.
