Real Madrid have contacted Chelsea about a move for in-demand Armando Broja, as Carlo Ancelotti looks to beat Everton, Newcastle, West Ham, and other Serie A clubs to the striker. Real Madrid is looking for young strikers, and Armando Broja is on their list. A number of EPL clubs have expressed interest in the Albanian international. Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel believes Broja will remain at Stamford Bridge this season. Real Madrid has joined the hunt for Chelsea forward Armando Broja.
Last season, the Albanian international was on loan at Southampton and scored nine goals.
According to the Evening Standard, the Spanish giants are looking to offload a number of forwards in order to add a number of young strikers to their squad for the upcoming season. Armando Broja has been attempting to impress Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel during preseason. Broja has only made one senior appearance for Chelsea, but he has impressed on loan elsewhere. Broja, a promising 20-year-old, fits the bill and is one of their targets. Premier League clubs have been keeping an eye on the mobile target man all summer, with Everton, Newcastle, and West Ham all expressing serious interest in him. Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel appeared open to loaning or even selling Broja earlier this summer, with London rivals West Ham interested. Tuchel appears to have changed his mind, and the forward, who was born in Slough, is now set to join the Blues for the start of the season. ‘I don’t think he’ll leave,’ Tuchel said. ‘We are aware of interest and offers, which simply indicates that there is a lot of potential, and the owners and I will ultimately make this decision together, including the player.’ When he first arrived, it was clear that he was trying to impress and become a Chelsea player as soon as possible. After his loan spell at Southampton, the situation was clear for him to take the next step, to demonstrate his progress, and to make an impression in pre-season.’ Unfortunately, he injured himself, and there is a lot of buzz because there are offers and interest in him. Let’s see how this goes, but I’m not worried because we know what’s going on and have a contract.’ Carlo Ancelotti wants to bring youth into his Real Madrid front line, and Broja fits the bill. Chelsea loaned Romelu Lukaku back to Inter Milan this summer, and while Raheem Sterling is an important addition to the front line, the club has yet to sign a true center forward, which could open the door for Broja. Karim Benzema of Real Madrid will turn 35 in December, and the club will be considering life after the Frenchman. The Champions League winners have already signed Antonio Rudiger from Chelsea after his contract with the London club expired this summer.
