Christophe Galtier appreciates Kylian Mbappe’s attitude and Neymar’s penalty decision

PSG manager Christophe Galtier has expressed gratitude for Kylian Mbappe’s willingness to allow Neymar Jr to take a penalty against Monaco.
PSG’s unbeaten start to the 22/23 season came to an end when they faced AS Monaco in the French top flight.
Monaco took the lead in the 20th minute through Kevin Volland, and PSG trailed for much of the game until Neymar equalized in the 70th minute to salvage a point.
After winning a penalty, Neymar scored from the spot. Despite Mbappe being the club’s first choice, Neymar stepped up to take the penalty. Mbappe appears to have let Neymar take the penalty.

PSG news: Kylian Mbappe conceded a penalty to Neymar Jr in their 1-1 draw with AS Monaco in Ligue 1.
Galtier thanked Mbappe for congratulating Neymar after the game. “The hierarchy has been well established: it’s Kylian one and Neymar two [for penalties],” Galtier told reporters, as quoted by Goal.
“But there is the reality of the match and the moment I saw that they exchanged and that Neymar decided to take it after discussing with Kylian,” he added.
I appreciated Kylian’s attitude in congratulating him and Neymar’s attitude in thanking him.

“They are excellent players, and it is up to them to decide what it is based on their feelings.” The most important thing is that Neymar approached him [nicely] and Kylian came to congratulate him.”
Meanwhile, PSG sit top of the league points table despite their draw with Monaco. The Parisians have 10 points from their first four fixtures. Marseille and Lens also have 10 points from four matches, but PSG enjoys a superior goal difference.

– – They kicked off their Ligue 1 title defense with a 5-0 win over Clermont Foot. PSG secured another thumping victory in their next game, defeating Montpellier 5-2.
– – PSG followed that up with a 7-1 victory over LOSC Lille, with Mbappe scoring a hat-trick and Neymar bagging a brace. However, their perfect start to the season came to an end when they faced Monaco.
Meanwhile, PSG faces Toulouse FC in an away game in their next match in the French top flight. The match between the two sides kick-off at 12:30 am Indian Standard Time, on September 1st. Toulouse comes into the game with five points from four matches.
