Conor Gallagher, a midfielder for Chelsea, claims he is “ready” to advance to the first team at Stamford Bridge despite rumors of an impending transfer to Everton. The 22-year-old has played on loan for Swansea City, West Brom, and most recently Crystal Palace over the past three seasons. Aston Villa and Everton are rumored to have expressed interest in him this summer, but the player himself has already acknowledged his desire to join Chelsea’s senior squad. In a conversation with Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel after his successful tenure at Selhurst Park, Gallagher disclosed in an interview with The Guardian that he had informed Tuchel of his intentions. In a message to fans, Farhad Moshiri affirms that Everton is “not for sale.” EXCLUSIVE: Alex Iwobi claims that Frank Lampard and he had a confidential conversation that changed how Everton was run. The England international, who is presently traveling with Tuchel’s team in the US for a preseason tour, stated: “I told him, “I believe I am prepared to play for Chelsea.” My older brothers have advised me to just ask if I have anything to say or inquire about because bosses aren’t intimidating. You may argue it’s a risk, but I believe I’m prepared for a move up. I can’t say no to the opportunity to join Chelsea’s roster and be a member of the club. I believe that in order to help this squad progress and to demonstrate my abilities to the boss and the spectators, I must have confidence in myself. With Palace, Gallagher had a productive season, making 39 games across all leagues. In the Premier League, he added three assists to his eight goals scored there. He received the Eagles fans’ Player of the Season title in addition to being nominated for the Men’s PFA Young Player of the Year award for his performances. This summer, Tuchel will examine Gallagher more closely, although he said in the last campaign that other people would also be involved in the decision-making process. “I think Conor can be a part of our group and can play a role with us,” Chelsea’s boss remarked. I don’t make all the decisions, though. Conor’s wants need to be discussed with everyone after the season, and we need to determine the circumstances and the role we have for him that he can fight for.” In Everton’s preseason practice, Dominic Calvert-Lewin was seen carrying a lethal weapon and four other items.
