Arsenal transfer rumours: Edu flies to Valencia, Houssem Aouar saga concludes, Moises Caicedo linked

Arsenal is still active in the transfer market and plans to add to their roster before the window closes.

Mikel Arteta and Edu are determined to finish the summer on a high note and carry out the plan they devised earlier this year.

SportsDias brings you the latest Arsenal news on Monday morning, including updates on Moises Caicedo, Yeremy Pino, and Aouar.

As Edu is pictured boarding a flight, there is a hint that Yeremy Pino is on his way to Arsenal.

The wide position remains a priority for the club, and according to multiple reports, Arsenal is interested in Villarreal’s Yeremy Pino.

With Edu pictured flying to Valencia, the Yellow Submarine’s home, excitement for the transfer has grown.

The photograph depicts Edu boarding a RyanAir flight to the Spanish city. The airline responded with a quote captioned, “Edu, PINO(t) on the return flight?”

Unai Emery was recently asked about the possibility of Pino leaving. The former Arsenal manager made no attempt to downplay the reports, even implying that if a bid came in, he would leave.

“If an offer for a player like Yeremy Pino comes in, he will have to leave.” We have an obligation to the club. “It is what it is,” Emery told reporters ahead of the club’s first La Liga match of the season.

Moises Caicedo has been linked to Arsenal.

Arsenal is interested in signing Moises Caicedo from Brighton.

The Ecuador international has been a standout in the first two weeks, scoring against Manchester United and keeping a clean sheet in a goalless draw against Newcastle United.

Arsenal will face competition for his signature from Erik ten Hag’s side, according to The Express.

United have been a disaster this season, conceding six goals in their first two losses to Brighton and Brentford.

To avoid repeating the mistake of losing another Premier League target to a top-four rival, they may need to act quickly to secure Caicedo. He is unlikely, however, to relocate cheaply.

Brighton have a strong track record of selling players, having made over £150 million in the previous two summers from the sales of Bissouma, Marc Cucurella, and Ben White to Premier League clubs.

Despite having only a year left on his contract, Neal Maupay is expected to be sold to Nottingham Forest for around £15 million, according to The Athletic. And the Seagulls will not let another midfielder leave the club.

Caicedo was a target for United before he moved to Brighton from Independiente del Valle.

It is unclear whether this will give them an advantage in a potential race for his signature, but the Gunners currently appear to be the far brighter prospect, and they have a previous good transfer relationship with the Seagulls after spending £50 million on Ben White last summer.

Houssem Aouar delivers sage to the end.

Finally, after two years of speculation, the Arsenal-Houssem Aouar transfer saga appears to be coming to an end.

Before signing Thomas Partey, the Gunners were linked with the Frenchman in 2020 for €50 million.

The following summer, the club was mentioned as a possible suitor once more. However, by 2022, Nottingham Forest are reportedly on the verge of signing the Lyon playmaker.

According to Di Marzio, the Frenchman is about to relocate permanently to the east midlands.

The narrative will be even stronger when Arsenal faces Forest again in search of a long-awaited victory.
