At Everton, Frank Lampard has a hectic summer of transfer ins and outs ahead of him as he tries to bolster his squad while fending off interest in some of his finest players.
James Tarkowski is expected to become Everton’s first summer acquisition, and his Bosman move from Burnley could be finalised this week.
Everton beat over a slew of Premier League competitors, including Aston Villa, West Ham United, and Leicester City, to sign the centre-back. The Blues have more business to take care of, and they need to bolster their squad following last season’s near-relegation scare.
They’re also struggling to keep strikers like Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison, whose futures are in doubt. The latest transfer news from Goodison Park is available on Mirror Sport, including updates on Richarlison and their bid for a Porto player.
Richarlison’s transfer cost has been slashed.
Richarlison’s future is uncertain, since he is rumored to want to go this summer, and Tottenham is interested.
The Liverpool Echo claims that selling the Brazilian for £51.25 million would leave them with very little profit at a time when they need to earn as much cash as possible. Everton paid Watford £35 million up front for Richarlison four years ago, with add-ons bringing the total to £50 million.
When you factor in Richarlison’s salaries over the course of his four years at Everton, the Blues will have lost money on their investment in the South American. Spurs are interested in Richarlison, who helped Everton avoid relegation last season by scoring 11 goals and leading the team in assists.

Kean eyes have returned.
Moise Kean’s two-year loan at Juventus from Everton with the possibility of a permanent contract has not gone well, and the forward now wants to go. According to Le10sport, Kean is dissatisfied at Juventus and wants to return to PSG, where he spent the 2020-21 season on loan.
Kean, 22, scored 13 goals in 26 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG and the French champions are in transition with Mauricio Pochettino set to leave as head coach. However, any prospects Juventus has of unloading Kean are contingent on Everton’s approval, and he will remain their player. They have to buy him a year earlier than they planned if they can persuade PSG to sign him this summer.
Lampard enquires about Porto’s standout player
Sport Witness are reporting that Portuguese paper O Jogo are claiming that Everton have made an approach for Porto star Otavio. The Blues have reportedly “asked for” Otavio as they look to strengthen their attack and the Portugal winger is one of Porto’s key players.
Porto are in no mood to sell Otavio this summer and have inserted a 60million euros or £51.25million buy-out clause into his contract to ward off interest. This would make him Everton’s most-expensive signing if they were try to battle the other Premier League clubs keen on landing him.
