Frank Lampard wants to avoid a recurrence of last season, when Everton spent the bulk of the season fighting for survival, so he’ll try to sign some of his summer transfer targets to bolster his squad.
Everton will announce the free transfer signing of James Tarkowski at the end of next week, and they are working on a number of other transactions over the summer.
After narrowly avoiding relegation, Toffees manager Frank Lampard is determined to improve his squad. Everton must also contend with the uncertainty surrounding attackers Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison, who are both desired by Premier League opponents.
Everton transfer news and speculations are available at Mirror Sport, with updates on Andre Gomes and Everton’s interest in a Watford striker who may be interested in a move to Goodison Park.
Gomes could be on his way out.
Andre Gomes is expected to depart Everton if Tottenham sign Harry Winks, according to Football Insider. Everton are interested in signing Winks, and according to the report, his arrival would necessitate the exit of Gomes, since the Blues require departures to help balance the books. According to the report, Everton sources suggest Gomes wants to go because his first-team chances may be jeopardized by Winks’ arrival. That deal is still a long way off, with Tottenham demanding £20 million for Winks and the Blues preferring a season-long loan.

Everton have joined Newcastle, AC Milan, and Marseille in bidding for Roma’s Jordan Veretout, according to CalcioMercato. The Frenchman, who is reputedly valued at £13 million, helped Jose Mourinho’s Roma win the first-ever Europa Conference League. Veretout had an ill-fated spell at Aston Villa a few years ago and he was part of the side relegated from the Premier League in 2016. Mourinho may be prepared to cash in on Veretout, who has two years left on his Roma deal, having just signed Nemanja Matic on a free from Manchester United.
