Gueye’s reappearance Those close to the negotiations believe a deal to bring Idrissa Gueye back to Goodison Park is imminent. The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, who spent three years at Everton from 2016 to 2019, wants out of the French club where he has fallen down the pecking order. According to Foot Mercato, Everton are eager to provide an escape route. The Ligue 1 champions are hopeful of a deal with Everton for Gueye. Toffees reportedly in talks with Chelsea striker According to Football.London, Everton have ‘entered’ talks to sign Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi. The Blues have increased their summer transfer activity in the last week, with Dwight McNeil and Ruben Vinagre joining James Tarkowski. And if they can agree on a fee, Maxwel Cornet could follow McNeil from Burnley to Everton. However, they must still replace Richarlison, who left Goodison Park to join Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur. According to the report, Everton may have found a replacement for the Brazilian, as they are said to have begun talks about a permanent move for Batshuayi, who played under Frank Lampard at Chelsea. The Belgian international joined Stamford Bridge from Marseille in 2016, but has spent the majority of his time with the London club on loan. Batshuayi has previously played for Borussia Dortmund, Valencia, Crystal Palace, and, most recently, Besiktas. Gbamin is open to bids. According to The Times, the Toffees are willing to listen to offers for midfielder Jean-Phillippe Gbamin. Gbamin has become surplus as Lampard plans to upgrade his midfield area, with Gueye as a target. And that could mean the Ivorian, who has only appeared eight times for Everton in the three seasons since his £25 million move from Mainz in 2019. Gbamin has never been able to show Everton fans what he is capable of due to Achilles tendon rupture and hamstring issues.
