Toni Kroos, a midfielder for Real Madrid, recently made fun of FC Schalke following Ed Sheeran’s performance at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen last week.
The three sold-out performances by the English pop diva began on July 7 at Schalke’s stadium. On his podcast Einfach mal Luppen, Kroos stated:
“Ed Sheeran did something I have rarely seen: fans left the stadium after a Schalke event delighted.”
The German club answered right away. They uploaded a video of striker Simon Terodde’s tearful post-game Sandhausen interview. “At least we can give cool interviews after the final horn,” the Royal Blues captioned it.
That insult was directed towards Kroos following Real Madrid’s victory over Liverpool in the Champions League final on May 28 in Paris. The 32-year-old hastily interrupted an interview with ZDF because he didn’t like the questions that were being posed.
The German has spent eight years with Real Madrid. He has faced Schalke 14 times for Bayern and Real Madrid, winning nine and losing four. Against Schalke, he has two goals and one assist.
In shock, Schalke was demoted from the Bundesliga in 2020–21 after dropping 24 of their 34 contests. However, they succeeded in getting promoted on their first try and will compete in the German Bundesliga the following year.
“We won’t finish any other signing,”” – Carlo Ancelotti, manager of Real Madrid
Carlo Ancelotti, manager of Los Blancos, has stated that the team has no plans to add any more players this summer. He asserted that he is content with the present roster and the acquisitions they have made to date.
We’re not going to complete any additional signing, according to Romano (via transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano). With the present crew, we’re content and powerful. I’m content with Rüdiger, Tchouameni, and Hazard, and I know they will be a big assistance to us.”
