PSG is rumored to have made Bayern Munich an offer for Robert Lewandowski despite Barcelona’s keen interest.
According to Calciomercato, the offer has been formally accepted by the Parisian’s new sporting director Luis Campos, who thinks the illustrious Polish star can help Kylian Mbappe in a possibly fatal onslaught.
Despite the offer from the Ligue 1 winners, Barcelona is still in the driver’s seat to get Lewandowski because they have already made a proposal of roughly €50 million for the striker.
The 33-year-old is allegedly anxious to sign for the Catalan giants after publicly declaring his intention to quit Bayern Munich earlier in the summer.
The center-forward was quoted by BBC Sport as saying: “My relationship with Bayern is ended, that much is apparent now,” when Lewandowski was abroad on international duty in May. After everything that has happened over the past few months, I find it impossible to imagine ongoing good cooperation.
“I recognize that a transfer will benefit both parties the greatest,” the former Dortmund striker continued.
Lewandowski’s contract at the Allianz Arena has just one year left. Bayern Munich’s player wearing number 9 has won the Bundesliga championship in each of his eight seasons with the club. He also scored 50 goals in 46 games across all competitions last season.
If Barcelona doesn’t finalize Robert Lewandowski’s deal, PSG and Chelsea will try to sign him, according to Sport Bild https://t.co/uLC7BWR0DU
A pundit said that Chelsea should compete with PSG and Barcelona for the services of Robert Lewandowski.
Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy believes the Blues should make a move for the gifted forward to assist Thomas Tuchel’s club close the gap on the top two Premier League teams.
Murphy also mentioned Armando Brója as a player with a lot of potential. Brója is a gifted young forward who spent last season on loan at Southampton.
According to The Chelsea Chronicle, the commentator said the following to TalkSPORT:
Brója is frank, has good feet for a big player, is ravenous, and seems to be a traditional center forward. He attempts to enter, but his connections are strong. I would be shocked if he wasn’t somewhere else.
He is a huge man, yet he has good feet. R. Bert Lewandowski, according to Danny Murphy, would increase Chelsea’s chances of winning the league. He said, “He looks like a proper center forward.” Hopes for the title at #CFC https://t.co/VhspRZ2MGs
