Italian forward Patrick Cutrone is a transfer target for Rangers this summer

Patrick Cutrone of Wolves is a potential transfer option for Rangers this summer, though he is not a forward they are actively pursuing. Only three years ago, in the summer of 2019, the Italian international moved to the Premier League from AC Milan for a reported fee of £16 million. Rangers have been ‘offered’ him, according to Football Scotland, but whether they pursue it is dependent on what happens with key talisman Alfredo Morelos. The Colombian is currently recovering from a thigh injury that kept him out of the final stages of last season, but he is widely expected to be the team’s starting forward when he returns. During his time in Govan, he was constantly linked with moves away from Ibrox, but no such moves ever materialized. English Championship clubs are also interested in Wolves’ striker. Bassey, Calvin Rangers’ exit is confirmed as the Ibrox club pays a lot of money to a Nigerian international.

Cutrone has struggled to make an impact since moving from Milan to Wolves, and the club is now looking to offload him. The 24-year-old has been capped by his country and has spent time on loan with Valencia, Fiorentina, and most recently Empoli. This Saturday, Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men face Premier League giants Tottenham in their final summer friendly.
