Leandro Paredes of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) should be acquired by Manchester United, according to renowned journalist Pete O’Rourke. He believes the Argentine would give United’s middle more “steel.”
The 2021–22 season was challenging for Manchester United; they missed out on a top-four Premier League finish and were eliminated early from all three cup tournaments. Reinforcements are necessary if the Red Devils are to improve on their current results under new boss Erik ten Hag.

United reportedly inquired about Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Paredes lately (according to L’Equipe via PSG Hub), but were turned off by their €35 million asking price.
However, O’Rourke has pleaded with the Old Trafford team to rethink signing the midfielder, stating that supporters would adore to watch him play.
I believe United fans would love to see him, he stated in an interview with Football Fancast (via PSG Talk). He likes to get involved and isn’t afraid to make a tackle. He does receive numerous bookings, which he has done while playing for PSG. He will be a fantastic addition for Manchester United if he is even half as talented as Roy Keane.

He differs slightly from Roy Keane in that regard, but he would undoubtedly offer some strength to the Manchester United midfield, which has previously drawn criticism.

Leandro Paredes of PSG might be a nice acquisition for Manchester United.
With Nemanja Matic no longer on the field, United may use an aggressive enforcer to take on the opponents in the center of the field. Paredes appears to be an expert at it.
He joined Paris Saint-Germain from Zenit Saint-Petersburg in January 2019 for an initial fee of €40 million, and he has frequently acted as the team’s foundation.
The right-footed player is comfortable playing in defensive midfield but can also play further up the field if necessary.

Paredes has so far played in 113 games for the French champions in various tournaments, tallying three goals and nine assists. Eight trophies, including three Ligue 1 championships, have been won by Les Parisiens thanks to his performances. Paredes’ current deal with the team expires in June 2024, and according to Transfermarkt, he is worth €17 million.
