Miguel Gutierrez is going to be sold by Real Madrid

Real Madrid, Raul (Image courtesy of Angel Martinez/Getty Images) ) Real Madrid attempting to increase sales is not new information. They are constantly attempting to get the players that want to go and those who don’t actually contribute anything to the club to depart. They have also begun offloading loanees who they don’t believe will ever contribute significantly to the first team, and certain Castilla players are getting the same treatment. Miguel Gutierrez, one of those players, is a true gem. However, he is a very, very excellent two-way player, and Castilla have looked good as a result of his dominance on the left-flank. He has had really awful luck with injuries both this year and the previous year. However, according to AS through MadridXtra, Real Madrid plans to sell him this summer while keeping 50% of his rights, meaning they will receive 50% of any subsequent transfer fee for Miguel. This is incorrect. Miguel Gutierrez has the aptitude to start for Real Madrid someday. Miguel reportedly received instructions to remain in Castilla and join the first team if needed, but he declined the offer. Miguel is an extremely young man. Mendy isn’t old—only he’s 20—but as his peak expires in a few years, he will probably begin to deteriorate a little. To be completely honest, that portion doesn’t even matter that much. Depending on the team Real Madrid is facing, Mendy and Miguel may have contested the same starting position with the two guys we just saw. The club has no reason to sell him right now because his worth isn’t even that high. It would have been smarter if Real had loaned him out for a few seasons to test the waters and determine the type of player he would develop into. Instead of not even giving the child a chance to prove his worth, they could have just done that. Miguel is an extremely talented player—possibly too good for Castilla—and I believe he deserves to play somewhere occasionally but not all the time. He may have been sold with a buy-back clause or sent on loan. This is just a strange action. It hasn’t been made public which team will purchase him, most likely because there isn’t any firm information. Do you want to be heard? Join the crew of The Real Champs! Compose for us! But based on this story, it appears certain that Miguel won’t be a member of Real Madrid when the transfer market closes.
