A Manchester City winger’s offer to join Real Madrid is rejected. Real Madrid has rejected an offer to sign former Manchester City winger Leroy Sane.
Sane, Leroy [Football Espana provided the photo] Sane departed Manchester City in 2020 to sign with Bayern Munich, a powerhouse in the Bundesliga.
Sane, although being young and potential, has had difficulty elevating his career since joining Bayern. Sane made a total of 32 league games last year, but in that time, he only managed to record seven goals and seven assists.
Despite their current difficulties, Leroy’s agent reportedly gave Madrid the opportunity to sign the youngster. The Spanish powerhouses abandoned their attempt to sign him, claiming that the team was primarily focused on selling a number of players.
Mikel Arteta is reportedly eager to sign the winger, according to reports. Mirror UK has confirmed this. The article claims that Arteta resorted to Sane to fill Raphinha’s vacant front-row position after Raphinha left for Barcelona.
After missing out on Raphinha, there have been numerous rumors that Arsenal may try to sign Leroy Sane this summer. “While links with the Germany international might seem audacious at best, there is reason to believe that Mikel Arteta might be the right man to pull the winger back to the Premier League. The Gunners are desperate to bolster their forward options and are willing to spend big money to get the right target. Both individuals joined City at the same time in 2016, one as a player and the other serving as Pep Guardiola’s assistant.
Along with Leroy Sane, Oleksandr Zinchenko from City is another player Arteta is close to acquiring.
“A deal for Oleksandr Zinchenko worth £30 million has been in place since yesterday morning between Arsenal and Manchester City. Personal terms discussions are ongoing, and remuneration is being considered to close the contract. 🇺🇦 #AFC
Marc Cucurella is still Man City’s top target, Fabrizio Romano wrote in a confirmation of the agreement.
