Pep Guardiola Man City v Newcastle United

Man City have picked up right where they left off last season, and they will be looking to make it three wins in a row when they face Newcastle United this weekend.
City are once again the favourites to win the Premier League, so we expect a victory on Sunday. The Magpies, on the other hand, have improved dramatically under Eddie Howe, so it will not be surprising if they make life difficult for the Etihad outfit.

Man City has scored six goals in their first two games, but Newcastle United has yet to concede a goal this season. The home team will undoubtedly play an ultra-defensive game on Sunday, so it will be up to City to find the gaps and break down Newcastle’s defense.
Pep Guardiola’s side has won 27 of their last 33 Premier League away games, and despite the Magpies’ decent home record, we only see one outcome from this tie.

Man City team news and injuries for the game against Newcastle United:
While John Stones has been on the bench, Nathan Ake has been pairing up with Ruben Dias in central defense, and we should see the same selection policy from Pep at St James’ Park.
Aymeric Laporte is recovering from surgery and is not expected to return until the end of the month.
Man City signed Kalvin Phillips in midfield, but the ex-Leeds man has only played one minute. He was injured and missed the game against Bournemouth, but he should be fully fit by Sunday.

Phillips is obviously vying for a starting spot, but Guardiola is known for easing his players into the team, so he has little chance of replacing Rodri in the starting XI.

Bernardo Silva is still being linked with a move away from the club, and we don’t think he’ll be joining us unless his issue is resolved. On Sunday, Gundogan and De Bruyne will line up as the two advanced midfielders.

Haaland has settled quickly at the club and will lead the line, but Man City manager Pep Guardiola must make a decision on Jack Grealish.

Grealish came on shortly after halftime to replace Phil Foden, who had already scored and assisted one goal. It will be interesting to see if the manager keeps Foden in his starting XI or brings back Jack Grealish.
Man City’s predicted lineup vs. Newcastle United is as follows:
Ederson; Ake, Ruben Dias, Walker, Cancelo; Rodri/Phillips, Gundogan, De Bruyne; Erling Haaland, Mahrez, Foden/Grealish;
