Real Madrid have ruled out a summer move for Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva

According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid are unlikely to make a summer move for Manchester City midfielder and Barcelona target Bernardo Silva, who has been offered to both clubs this summer.Bernardo Silva has been with Manchester City for five years, having joined from AS Monaco in the summer of 2017. The 27-year-old has developed into an important player for Pep Guardiola’s side, contributing significantly to their success during that time. It has sparked serious interest in the Portuguese international from Barcelona. The Catalans have been tracking Silva since last summer but have been unable to make a move due to financial constraints. However, with questions surrounding Frenkie de Jong’s future, Barcelona see Silva as the ideal replacement for the Netherlands international and are ready to pounce should de Jong leave. Silva has been offered to Barcelona by his agent, Jorge Mendes. Real Madrid, Barcelona’s arch-rivals, have also been offered the Manchester City superstar.Real Madrid uninterested in Bernardo Silva (Photo by Pedja Milosavljevic/AFP/Getty Images)Real Madrid strengthened their midfield unit this summer with the addition of Aurelien Tchouameni. With Luka Modric and Toni Kroos nearing the end of their careers, Carlo Ancelotti’s side will need to start laying down a succession plan for the pair in due time.Jude Bellingham has been Real Madrid’s priority target for the role, but Silva would also be a fine alternative, given his proven pedigree, winning mentality, and experience. However, according to the report, Real Madrid have no interest in signing the Manchester City midfielder this summer. Los Blancos, according to the report, have different priorities at the moment. They also believe Silva would be an expensive acquisition, with Manchester City likely demanding around €100 million for his services. As a result, despite being offered the opportunity, Real Madrid has ruled out signing him. This should clear the way for Barcelona to make a move for Silva. However, as previously stated, the Catalans’ signing of the 27-year-old is conditional on de Jong leaving Camp Nou, which is looking increasingly unlikely. So it remains to be seen what Silva’s future holds, but a move to Real Madrid appears to be off the table.
