Real Madrid’s Champions League celebrations are not going well with Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG Update: Despite proposing a European Super League, Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has slammed Real Madrid’s Champions League celebrations.
The PSG president was criticizing Real Madrid’s stance while speaking at the 28th General Assembly of the European Club Association. Despite the threat of UEFA sanctions, Madrid, along with Barcelona and Juventus, continue to support the European Super League. In the end, nine of the original twelve founding clubs dropped out of the project in October 2021.
Madrid and PSG have had a long-running rivalry. It all started when Real Madrid wanted to sign Neymar on a cheap deal from PSG.
At the time, club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was unwilling to let go of the world’s most expensive player.

During the 28th General Assembly of the European Club Association, the president, Nasser al-Khelafi, did not waste an opportunity to criticize the most Champions League-winning team in World Football history.
“It’s strange that Real Madrid is celebrating winning the Champions League,” he told Foot Mercato. It’s odd that you go against the competition, but still participate and celebrate after winning the title. To be honest, I think it’s very strange. But we’re not going to waste time on this and will keep working.”
The PSG hierarchy was not impressed by Real Madrid’s brilliant performance in the Champions League last season. The Paris club also used all of their resources to keep their superstar Mbappe.
Al-Khelaifi, the president of ECA and PSG, accused Real Madrid of hypocrisy and slammed the Spanish club’s “infamous” Super League project.
Los Blancos suffered a bitter defeat.

Last year, Los Blancos broke PSG’s heart by defeating them 3-2 on aggregate in the Champions League Round of 16. PSG is desperate to dominate Europe by winning the Champions League after spending heavily in the transfer market. Real Madrid, on the other hand, has won the Cup 14 times, which is twice as many as any other club in the competition’s history.
