The Houston Rockets’ 2022-23 NBA season schedule video has been praised online

On Wednesday, the Houston Rockets unveiled their 2022-23 season schedule, which included an innovative video featuring players, coaches, executives, and others. To put it mildly, online feedback on the team’s clever and hilarious marketing promotion was overwhelmingly positive. The video depicts rookies Jabari Smith Jr., Tari Eason, and TyTy Washington, who were all chosen in the first round of the 2022 NBA draft, as Toyota Center office workers on their first day on the job. In the film, veteran guard Eric Gordon and second-year prospect Josh Christopher mentor the rookies. General manager Rafael Stone and head coach Stephen Silas made appearances, and players who couldn’t make it to Houston, such as Jalen Green, Kevin Porter Jr., and Alperen Sengun, participated via Zoom video. Schedule dates showing when various NBA opponents will visit Toyota Center are shown in the office background throughout the seven-minute film. The Rockets are offering a video quiz on their mobile app for fans, with those who correctly answer questions about clues in the video entering a drawing for free tickets. Scroll down to see the full video, followed by reactions from Houston and beyond fans, media, and consumers. The reveal of the Rockets’ schedule was very entertaining. Along the way, there are numerous subtle and not-so-subtle jokes and references. That video was fantastic. August 17, 2022 — Jackson Gatlin (@JTGatlin) It was a lot of fun to be a part of this project. A fantastic example of multi-level collaboration in sports marketing. The journey that leads to content creation is often overlooked, but when done correctly and collaboratively, it results in exceptional content.
