The La Scaloneta Flotante, the cruise ship that will ignite Qatar 2022

The history of the FIFA World Cup would be incomplete without mentioning the wonderful chapters written by the passion of the fans who attend its matches religiously and leave their souls in them. Qatar 2022 will be no exception, thanks to one of the most unique soccer fans in the world: Lionel Messi’s Argentina.
The Albiceleste is one of only eight National Teams to have won the coveted FIFA World Cup not once, but twice. Argentina 1978 and Mexico 1986 are remembered not only for their stars’ exploits, but also for the warmth of their devoted fans.
That is why, in Qatar 2022, a maneuver is being planned that could well be unique in the world, as it is a gesture that perfectly shows Lionel Messi and Argentina’s unconditional support in any tournament they play, regardless of where they play.

The cruise ship La Scaloneta Flotante will light up Qatar in 2022.
The culture of the upcoming FIFA World Cup host country is unique, as is well known. That is why, among other things, the restrictions on displays of affection, excessive celebrations, and alcohol consumption will make this tournament unique. These are all characteristics of Argentine fans who consistently come to support their National Team.
Given this scenario, Argentine entrepreneur Gonzalo Velazquez, owner of tourism services company Vuela Viajes, decided to offer a product that could meet the very specific needs of his country’s fans traveling to Qatar in 2022. This is the origin of the Scaloneta flotante.
It is a ship, specifically a cruise ship, rented by Velazquez that will sail from Argentina to Qatar with the goal of not only hosting Argentine fans who want to support Lionel Messi and the Albiceleste in the FIFA World Cup, but also of providing a space for them to detonate all their passion, full of chants, euphoria, and, why not, drinking alcoholic beverages.
“I saw people who wanted to go out after the matches, party in the clubs, meet up, and knowing that it would be difficult in Qatar because they have a different culture,” Gonzalo Velazquez told Yahoo Sports. “I came up with the idea of having a boat for Argentine fans, to promote a kind of fan fest but with cultural activities of the country, whether shows or musical performances, and that foreign people could also have access.”
The cruise’s name could not have been more appropriate for a ship that exudes soccer. La Scaloneta is an ode to Lionel Scaloni’s soccer ship, which aims to end Argentina’s 36-year drought without winning the FIFA World Cup.

The characteristics of the Scaloneta Flotante, the Argentine fans’ cruise ship in Qatar 2022
The massive vessel has a capacity of 2840 people, which can be accommodated thanks to its 12-story structure. It will also have internal and external double and triple cabins, swimming pools, five restaurants, twelve bars, a theater with a seating capacity of 1,500 people, a spa, gym, and even a soccer field on the top floor. During your stay, you will be stranded at Doha’s main pier.
One of the major benefits and attractions of the floating Scaloneta is that anyone who purchases a ticket for the cruise will automatically receive a ticket to each of Argentina’s three group stage matches in Qatar 2022, against Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Poland.

What is the cost of a seat on the Scaloneta Flotante at the FIFA World Cup?
Nothing in life is free, and this cruise is no exception. The cost of being a part of the experience of exercising fanaticism and passion for the Argentina National Team and Lionel Messi as freely as possible in Qatar 2022 is $7500. Obviously, the cost of the flight to the World Cup host country must be factored in.
Due to the possibility of flight saturation to Qatar 2022, the floating Scaloneta could make a brief stop in Dubai, approximately 600 kilometers from Doha, to be boarded no later than November 17 and then begin the journey to the FIFA World Cup host country.
