Chelsea are currently attempting to make an impression in the transfer market. Todd Boehly’s group has completed its acquisition, with Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele a primary target.
Now that Chelsea’s ownership saga is ended and the club can sign players again, Thomas Tuchel is planning a busy summer.
Last season, the Blues manager was concerned that his team was trailing behind their opponents and needed to make a series of additions to catch up. With Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen departing, Chelsea require defenders, but Tuchel is also trying to improve his forward line.
Mirror Sport has compiled a list of the most recent Chelsea transfer rumours:
The Chelsea and Manchester United target discusses his future plans.
Chelsea and Manchester United have expressed interest in Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku.
Nkunku, a France international, scored 35 goals last season and is expected to join the Blues this summer, with United vying for his services.
“It’s no secret that there are clubs interested in me,” Nkunku stated to Telefoot. Yes, it is enticing. It’s also flattering to have a club like Leipzig putting in so much effort to keep me. We’ll have to think hard and make a solid judgment here.”
Chelsea’s chances of landing a £96.8 million forward have improved.
Chelsea’s pursuit of Barcelona striker Ousmane Dembele has been aided by the withdrawal of Paris Saint-Germain from the contest to sign him.
Before his massive £96.8m move to Spain, Thomas Tuchel worked with Dembele at Borussia Dortmund and attempted to bring him to Stamford Bridge in January. Now a free agent while he stalls on signing a new contract with Barca, Dembele was also a target for PSG but they are no longer interested, according to Spanish newspaper Sport.
According to the report, Chelsea has offered the France international a four-year contract with a signing-on fee, and while the terms fall short of Dembele’s demands, negotiations are expected to continue.
Loftus-asking Cheek’s price has been determined by Chelsea.
Chelsea has told Inter Milam that if they want to sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek, they must pay £17 million.
The Serie A club, on the other hand, would want to bring the former England international to Milan on a loan agreement. Loftus-Cheek is reportedly available this summer, according to Italian publication Gazzetta. Tuchel must sell players in order to increase his transfer budget and make place for new additions next season.
