Despite interest from Nottingham Forest, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has stated that they have “no interest in selling” striker Armando Broja. Following their promotion to the Premier League, the Reds were reportedly mulling a move for the former Southampton loanee, as Nottinghamshire Live initially reported at the beginning of June. On the south coast last season, the international player from Albania contributed to another goal and nine of his own over all competitions. The 20-year-old is now on Chelsea’s preseason tour of the United States after returning to the club this summer. Early on Sunday morning, they play their first friendly match in Las Vegas versus Club America at Allegiant Stadium. Coach Tuchel has made the club’s position on the player plain. Armando Broja of Chelsea is a striker that Nottingham Forest is considering signing. West Ham and Nottingham Forest will compete for a Chelsea forward as an updated “shortlist” becomes available. Tuchel told NottinghamshireLive’s colleagues at Football.London, “Armando is our player first and foremost, and we have no interest in selling him at this time.” “After being on loan in Southampton, he is hoping to make a mark here. The way we see it up front, it is his predicament.” This is in spite of Tuchel being informed by Sky Sports that West Ham United had made a £30 million offer for the attacker. Tuchel continued, “It’s excellent if there’s interest because it shows us there’s quality and promise.” “It demonstrates that Armando is in a position to make an impression and join Chelsea. When will he join the Chelsea team? No one is certain, but ideally as soon as feasible.” A young player should often make an impact in the first minute of preseason, so the fact that he was hurt and there is a wait for him is never pleasant. There is a slight delay right now, but that is the current state of affairs.
